Positioning of traps with the attractant and insecticide with the distribution and density suitable for the land features.
Monitoring of trappings and damage throughout the whole season. Attention is given to secondary pests.
Suggesting additional action to help guarantee an optimum control of the pest based on treatment thresholds.
Assessment of results obtained and handing over of the corresponding report.
Removing the traps from the field.
1. To use the kind of material which guarantees the greatest number of trappings during the period of time when the crop is sensitive to the pest.
2. If the persistence of the attractant allows for it, it is advisable to bring forward the positioning of the traps as early as possible.
3. On big areas, higher levels of control are achieved. In any case, very satisfactory results are achieved on small areas too.
4. When deciding the distribution of the traps, adults’ emergence focuses have to be taken into account, either from other crops or from weeds.
